He carefully moved the blinds and made contact with the carpet of your room. He waited until no one, for a moment, was on the streets and successfully opened the window with a soft * click* sound. You had given him a key to get in whenever but with kids running around, he didn’t want to risk anyone seeing his blue self anyway right now. He begins to open the window, from the bottom that was slightly worn down thanks to him over using this method of getting in your place. Today was your free day right? From school/work. A pair of vibrant green eyes looked through your half opened blinds. You were sweaty, you felt drool cake the side of your face, the blankets were tossed around you it surely was leaving lined marks on your body. You clutched onto one of your plushies and tried to force yourself back, back to a headspace that ignored everything around you. What you didn’t hear though, as you tried to fade back into sleep. You dug yourself further into the blankets. You felt the shiver of anxiety again, up your back, your phone going off was one of the last sounds you wanted to hear right now. The hours were something you weren't used to, you remember passing out pretty early, 7-ish maybe? You don’t even want to look at the time now. It takes a lot to gain the confidence to hold your head up, talk and do the work you have to do, this was new, and you should be grateful you had the things you have to do, so you don’t waste away in your room doing nothing. ![]() It was impossible to get out the bed, you have never felt more anxiety or stress like you have this past week. And yet, you still haven’t popped your head out of the mountains of blankets that laid all over you, as well as clothes that really should be put away, and plushies that kept everything so soft, too soft. You can hear kids screaming and playing outside, the sound of birds flapping their wings, cars driving by on this lazy weekend. It doesn’t matter how much time has passed, you know it is starting to become mid-afternoon.
